Summary: Neville heads out to ready the greenhouse for winter.

Neville was glad of the full moon to light his way to the greenhouses. He should have done this sooner, but there had been other preparations for the Halloween ball tonight. But it was going to freeze in the morning, and he had to make sure the greenhouse was ready.
There was a howl off in the Forbidden Forest, and Neville quickened his pace. He was safe enough out here, but it still made him nervous.
He got to work as soon as he made it to the first greenhouse, the only one that needed to be wintered. The others were charmed for year-round temperatures and humidities specific to the plants in them, most of which wouldn’t do well in Scotland’s winters.
The work went quickly, pushed faster by the unseasonably chilly air. Even with heating charms on his robes and gloves, he was shivering by the time he laid the last bit of mulch. He smiled around the greenhouse, pleased. And, he thought, the ball might still be going. Maybe he could get another glass of punch.
He headed back to the castle, a skip in his step that even the continued howling from the Forbidden Forest couldn’t dampen.
