Title: Fred, George, and the Smoking Cauldron

Summary: Fred and George do a bit of brainstorming to come up with a new product.

“So far we’ve concentrated on edible items, but if we’re going to be successful, we need to branch out more,” George said as he sat on his dorm room bed.
Fred nodded. “Any ideas?”
“How about a smoking cauldron?” George nudged the one sitting on a bedside table. “Useful as a decoration at Halloween or to pretend you’re hard at work brewing something for Snape when you’re not.”
“Anyone can make a cauldron smoke.”
“Maybe, but I bet we could make one that looks more realistic, with smells and bubbling. Maybe make the smoke rise up like a ghost or… something…” George’s voice trailed off as wisps of smoke began to issue from the empty cauldron. “Are you doing that?”
Fred shook his head. “It’s not me.”
The smoke began to thicken and bubble, twisting up into a hovering shape. Both boys rose as one and began to back away from the beds, eyes wide. When glowing red eyes appeared in the smoke, they tore out of the room and vanished down the staircase.
Behind them, the smoke coalesced into the giggling form of Moaning Myrtle. “Peeves was right. I do need to get out of my bathroom more often.”
