Prompt/Prompt Author: I'd love to see a detective story with those two. Good cop/bad cop, cop who hasn't got her private life sorted out/cop who hasn't got a private life to sort out, cop/intrepid private investigator who answers to nobody ... I think there are great possibilities for friendship dynamics between those two. / tetleythesecond

What a great idea to set this at the very beginning of Voldemort's rise. Alastor is spot-on with his “I have no fookin clue,” he admits, breathing deeply, “I ain’t never heard of the son of a bitch. Apparently he’s big though.”

And the easy banter among the team, and the way they supplement each other almost without words is very believable. Remarks like “So Podmore’s too pretty and Rufus is too dumb,” and the comments on Amelia in her old dress robes. Robards needs to brush up on his topography, though. Wiggleswade is right, since Australia is, in fact, the smallest continent. Better a big arse than a smart-arse.

I like the way you describe Voldemort. The terror of the last part of his reign is there already, as are his typical ways of persuasion. But at this time he's still a fairly handsome man, which I find believable. One doesn't get a large following looking the way Voldemort does towards the end.

The detail of the ring bought with everything she owns and then kept in a drawer just sums up the relationship with Pomona (Pomona! Be still, my heart).

Great job. Yours, I mean, not Amelia's. I can see why Pomona gets pissed off.

Robards and I both need a geography lesson.

I loved writing the banter and the interactions in this fic. I really see Amelia as one of the guys, and I wanted to capture it. Also, Moody is so hard to write, so thank you for you praise.

I agree, Amelia's a bit of an arse when it comes to women. Still, I have hope Pomona will say yes, when Amelia proposes.
