Recs, part 1
I'm just in the process of updating my recs pages (now separated into pairing/genre) with all the wonderful HP fic that was generated as a result of various secret santa challenges, most notably those held by lupin_snape and the multiple pairing one of merry_smutmas. There's so much good fic that I'm still only part way through so here's part 1 of my recs from those challenges and elsewhere:
'Castaways' by Your Cruise Director - now a teacher at Hogwarts, Harry stumbles across his former adversary Professor Snape while he is in the middle of an unfamiliar ritual and stays to find out more. Gen.
'The Fourth Year' by Calligraphy - in his role as Snape's minder/keeper, Harry Potter's attitude towards his former professor makes a sea change even as Snape struggles with Muggle technology and his nascent addiction to daytime soap operas. Adult!Harry/Snape.
'Consolation Prize' by regan_v - Harry Potter makes an Unbreakable Vow of his own in order to have a chance to kill Voldemort, then has to live with its consequences. Adult!Harry/Snape.
'In Neglect' by Ria - "You're the Boy Who Lived, Potter," Snape says slowly, staring down at the chipped mug held tightly between his hands. "You will never live a normal life, no matter how hard you try." Adult!Harry/Snape.
'Love Is' by Kai - Bill Weasley tries to deal with the consequences of his brush with lycanthropy and it seems as though only one person can truly help him. Snape/Bill Weasley, Bill/Fleur.
'Dealing with Dragons' by r_becca - Charlie had a sudden moment of clairvoyance, in which he could see the future. And the future was good. The future involved his old Potions professor fucking his brains out right here on the table, until the table collapsed under their weight and they were both sweaty and sated and completely, fully, totally satisfied. Snape/Charlie Weasley
'Intoxicated' by Lionsmooches - desperate for a drink after witnessing the torture and death of yet another Order member, Snape finds himself in circumstances he can't control. Snape/Shacklebolt
'Bindings' by Snapetoy - fleeing from the Deatheaters as a remorseful teenager, Snape undergoes a ritual to bind himself to Dumbledore's service instead. Snape/Dumbledore.
'Nothing Like the Sun' by Louise Lux - Snape catches Lupin in the middle of preparing a dangerous potion, and what's worse he's doing it badly. Snape/Lupin.
