Good on Harry! I'm impressed by his understanding and maturity. You've managed to put a lot of information into this short piece and, while it's not exciting or sexy, it is a compelling read. I really enjoy character development.

Thanks!

I think I might have made Harry just a hair too controlled. Maybe he should be angrier. But on the other hand, he's exhausted. Ehn. Glad you liked it.:-)

Numb is the word that came to my mind.

So Harry's been pining away for Severus for quite a while? I thought it started off as a schoolboy crush and developed into something when he returned to Hogwarts. It's good to see that he was maturing even before he went to San Fran.

The Crush, as Harry thought of it, started around 2000. So, not quite a schoolboy thing, but it's definitely been around a while.

As for maturity... Shock and exhaustion can sometimes substitute.:-)

I'd be curious to hear about what changed Harry's mind about Severus (from "greasy git" to gorgeous) and why Harry developed The Crush. In Harry's eyes, did Severus do something particularly brave or honourable?

Sev may ask Harry that at some point...

Hmmm....I liked this short bit a lot, but for some reason I can't really buy that Severus would be into Kingsley. It was a bit too convenient to have both Hermione and Snape squeeing over Kingsley -- perhaps nerdy, bookish types go for handsome aurors. I suppose that the unattainable is always desirable. :)

Kingsley is handsome, considerate, reasonably intelligent, and possessed of a decent sense of humor. What's not to like?;-)

Well, okay...but then you might have to put some references to hunky Kingsley into Severus's thoughts in the San Francisco Effect. ;)

I will explain Kingsley from Severus's POV. Eventually.:-)

At the moment, the more is in the form of The San Francisco Effect (linked above), which is Severus's POV and a good deal more graphic (and darker). I don't have plans for much more from Harry's POV.

I'm glad you liked it.:-)

ooh, I like the idea of Severus liking Kingsley. It's quite an interesting pairing; thanks for writing it. And poor Harry. Anyhow, loved this bit. :)
