"Tell me about your brothers, Ginny," her latest flat mate prodded, for the umpteenth time.
Ginny sighed, shifting in her seat and drawing her legs underneath her as she collected her thoughts. "Well Bill, he's the oldest. Long strawberry hair, pierced ear, and an overall great guy... He's with this girl Fleur, of Veela decent. I never really liked her, but she's growing on the family, and he's happy. That's all that really matters. He's a curse breaker. Always getting into some kind of trouble...
"Charlie, he's the brute, but in a good way. Same red hair of course...I should really stop mentioning that I suppose. It's much shorter though. And he's stocky. He's dragon trainer in Romania. Mum always throws a fit about all the burns he's usually found covered in. He seems rough like his coarse skin, but he's a sweetheart.
"Percy, he's the brains. He still shies away from the family on most occasions. He cares a lot about his work and it tends to keep him from getting any strong personal relationships. Though he still talks to Penelope Clearwater, his girlfriend at Hogwarts, so we hold out hope she'll loosen him up a bit.
"The twins, Fred and George, are amazing. They're always ready for fun and adventure. I can always count on them if I need anything. They're shop is doing really well. I don't see them nearly as often as I'd like, but it's nice to know they'd drop everything for me if need be. I miss the pranks we played together.
"And Ron...Ron is the overbearing one. He's critical of my relationships and always putting his nose where it doesn't belong. I know he does it because he loves me, but sometimes it's too much. Though I don't think I'd have him any other way."
"You're so lucky to have them as your brother's, Gin," her flat mate swooned, walking off to the kitchen for something to drink.
But in reality, Ginny didn't feel she was lucky to have them as her brothers. There was so much more she wanted; so much more she couldn't have. It was so wrong, but it felt so right. She knew what she wanted. She knew what those desires meant. But it didn't make her want it any less.
Oh, no...she was definitely not lucky to have them as her brothers.
