2018 Student Handook
⌲ ⌲ 2018 Rules and Guidelines ⌲ ⌲
- The fic should be set in the Harry Potter Universe.
- The main pairing should be any Exo OTP or involves at least one Exo member.
- Only join if you are 101% sure of committing to this exchange.
- Be responsive to emails and deadline notices.
- If you think you'll be submitting late, please e-mail us so that we can give an extension.
- A minimum of 2,000 words for each fic entry.
- Minimum 2,000 words per entry.
- Stories must be in the HP!verse. Spin-offs such as Fantastic Beasts and The Curse Child are also acceptable.
- Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
- Each story must be a complete one-shot. It must have a clear beginning and a clear end. You are not allowed to submit a story with the intent of finishing it at a later time on a personal account outside of the fest. All works must be finished upon submission.
- All stories must be rated and tagged as appropriately as possible! If you have any questions or feelings of uncertainty, feel free to contact the mods!
- Rape / pedophilia / non-con / abusive relationship content are not allowed. Romanticization of unhealthy content will not be posted or it will be taken down if mods decide there is substance to any claims/complaints.
- In order to submit a prompt, you must submit it through the Google forms.
- One prompt per form! Please do not submit more than one prompt for every Google form submission.
- There are no limits to the number of prompts you can submit.
- Prompts should not be extremely detailed. Please leave room for the author to have creative freedom and the ability to direct the story in the direction they would like.
- If you do not want any mentions of past members/content/genre/tropes in your fic, please write it under the "vomit-flavored bean" section.
- Claiming is for all witches and wizards willling to take on the challenge of writing fics for Exolliarmus!
- To claim a prompt, one must submit a Google form with their 3 top desired prompt choices. However, you do not have to have 3 if you are only interested in 1 prompt.
- Claiming is open for all writers from all writing platforms.
- A writer may only claim one prompt at a time. If you would like to write another prompt, you must finish your first assignment before claiming another.
- Be 101% sure that you are committed!
- If you've read this entire page, please enter your Hogwarts House under the question "Have you read the school handbook?"

◉ Exolliarmus will be posting on AO3. All participants MUST have an AO3 account as you will be submitting your work through a collection folder.

How do you sign-up?
➤ Sign-ups will be conducted through Google Forms. You will NOT need a Google account in order to sign-up, but please have a valid email address!
I don't have an AO3 account. Does that mean I can't participate?
You can still participate! Simply sign up to get your invitation. AO3 will send you an invite within 1-3 days! (CLICK HERE) The final deadline is on August 20th so please get an account before then so you can submit! However, if you encounter issues or you would rather have the fest post your fic for you (for whatever reason), then we can also make arrangements!
Can my prompts be only restricted to Hogwarts?
➤ No, but please make sure your prompts (and stories, if you are a writer) are set in the Harry Potter universe. Writing or prompting in the realm of Fantastic Beasts is also perfectly acceptable!
Are betas required for this event?
➤ Having a beta is not required, but it is highly encouraged. If you need a beta-reader, let the mods know so we can ask a person in the community to volunteer!
