You know, normally I’d be the first to admit that I’m not a Percy fan. It’s not because I dislike him, per se, but he doesn’t interest me. I knew Percy, in high school. Percy is my favourite character and my favourite Weasley, which I guess isn't a big thing seeing as all the other Weasleys inspire ate and or/indifference with me. Especially Arthur, the very idea that a parent would put their own happiness over their childrens best interest (Dodgy second hand wands anyone?) just disgusts me. My Dad hated his old job, someting that I didn't know till we were better off financially (though we always had the best possible, I even had a pony!, not anymore though, I had to get the spinal surgeon who hates horses) and he started his own business and like started looking 20 years younger. The thing is, if your a parent? Your hapiness is in your children. That's he deal, take it or leave it. And Arthur not only neglects them financially, he spends no time with them at all!!! It's just ugh!
At least Molly (despite being pushy and nasty and super passive agressive) tries.
And I'm not saying that children should be spoilt (nothing humbles the spirit like mucking out and plaiting up when you can't feel your fingers) but god! Second hand robes? Wands that don't work? Breaking your own laws? And still expecting them to be top students who don't put a foot wrong? NO.
Can I friend you?
