Ron has issues, hasn't he?

When it comes to naming Ron's flaws people tend come up only two things - his ordinariness (A/N: How is that a flaw?) and his insecurity/jealousy complex. And people do often negate the second part of the latter and claim that Hermione, despite being HP's "exposition fairy", was wrong when she explained that the reason for Ron's anger in GoF was jealousy.

But I don't buy that. Simply, because ... we never get a second or divergent point of view on the issue. Therefore I believe that Hermione truly acted as Rowling's "exposition fairy" there and Ron was really jealous of Harry being a Triwizard Tournament Champion. And rich. And famous. And being the youngest Seeker in one-hundred years. And getting really cool broomsticks for Christmas. For free. Oh, and the whole preferential treatment that the Wizarding World has down pat. Yep, that should be about it.
