The Ron Weasley File
I have recently started writing a series of essays in my journal ( clashofminds) dedicated to Ron Weasley. These essays are intended to proceed in chronological order from SS/PS. So far I have completed an analysis of SS/PS.
Although Ron seems to attract many fans who sympathize and maybe even identify with him, I should warn the potential reader that while life has not always been easy for Ron, there is an ominous side to him too, which I am intending to reveal, and I expect that at some point Ron will undergo a crisis, and may again be tempted to abandon Harry (the first time was Percy’s attempt in OOTP). In addition I am intending to address certain theories related to Ron, such as the Knight to King theory (k2k) and of course the possibility that Ron and Hermione will be romantically involved. Although I will not debunk these two theories (JKR is free to write whatever she feels like), I will argue that they do not seem very credible based on what we so far know, and the so called “clues” supporting these theories are weak.
