i.

I'm endlessly fascinated by Narcissa, and not quite certain how to count the ways. ( these ideas have been brewing for some time. Content over form... )

Hmm you make a good point there. Narcissa is definately an interesting character. I've always wondered something, did Narcissa went to school during the same time that Sirius did? Or is she younger/older than them by a lapse?

I think she's older than Sirius, simply because Lucius was older than Snape; he was around fifth year when Snape started at Hogwarts.

I share your fascination with Narcissa. I also agree that she is by far the strongest woman we have yet experienced in the series. I am certain that she has a part to play yet - and probably a defining one, saving her son, for instance, like Lily (another flower) did for Harry.

Although let's not forget mama Crouch when we speak of maternal sacrifice!

Very true. So, if we can later add Narcissa to those then we will have the magic number of three.

Perhaps Narcissa isn't the strongest woman in the series, but she is certainly strong, talented and determined. If she stays in the background, letting Lucius do the public works, it's because she is above dealing with low and vulgar people like Ministers and suchlike.

And I absolutely agree she doesn't have a big ugly tattoo on her slender arm - no way!

Brilliant.

Where does it say Narcissa determined Draco's name?

Thanks!

Honestly, it doesn't. This was simply my assumption based on nothing more than the fact that his astronomical name follows Black family convention.

Ah right, assuming Narcissas making up for being named after a FLOWER.

*bows to the greatness*

I adore Narcissa. Absolutely adore. And I've always been very scattered about why I love her, so I've never really been able to explain it to others, much less myself.

But this has put every single one of my admirable thoughts into perfect order. I cannot thank/admire you enough for posting.

I think I love you.
