Mystery Author, THANK YOU a million times for this lovely gift. Regulus/James is such a wonderful pairing, and so rare, especially when it features my favorite kink, top!Regulus.

This line, He wondered if Lily felt the same sort of pain in reverse, knowing she had James’ heart, but never his passion is a perfect description of the R/J/L triangle. Very sad, but very true, too.

And the ending killed me. I guess the moment I started loving Regulus was when we were shown those three initials in HBP. The idea that his ultimate sacrifice was also a good-bye to James is fitting.
