Fascinating, heady stuff, this. I love what you do with the bracketed author commentary, reminding us again and again how accidental and yet entirely necessary and inevitable the love/sex between Sirius and Regulus is. Those glimpses in Slytherin House's reaction to what was done to Snape were awesome.

I liked this line a lot. I can just see Regulus's face, grave and resolute.

When Severus almost dies and absolutely everyone knows that Sirius had something to do with it and Slytherin declares fucking war

Oooh, I so hope something like this happened, that Severus had some defenders in the matter at least. Although somehow I see Severus being humiliated by the whole thing and trying to keep it as hush-hush as possible. But yes, this would be lovely, a whole fic prompt in itself. And yet I also love how Regulus is a fierce defender of his own brother and nothing gets in the way of that. It's just how I see Reg - despite everything, brotherly bond wins out

well, gossip spreads, y'know? sev can't've have been the only person in the hospital wing during and i kind of see it as--as slytherin wanting an excuse, regardless of how sev wanted/didn't want them to act. and they got one.

This was lovely and terrible. I love Sirius/Regulus like burning, and this captured all the horror of the Blacks for me. I could quote a bunch of lines at you, but I'll stick with this one:
