okay. despite having been a huge hp fan for the majority of my life, i never had the guts to join a forum or anything where people talked about harry potter. it was all things that i'm not interested in within the hp fandom- fanfics, shippers, thinking a whole lot into the series, among other things. i don't remember how i stumbled upon hp_cr, but i joined because everyone seemed really nice and to be around my age. and the pre-reread discussions weren't that deep so i didn't feel stupid participating in them.
it's been nice having a group of people to discuss the ins and outs of the series with and for the first time in my life, i feel like someone else out there knows and understands exactly what the books mean to me.
i don't know. i suck at explaining my feelings and i'm sure someone else will do it better than i do, but i love that over the past year we've bonded across borders and oceans over the books. i really love you guys and enjoy your e-company, and i hope most of you end up joining the book club or potter life.
