Who: Alya Malfoy, Raegan Fisk, (Brando Lestrange-Savage if he would like to chime in) and Professor Savage (haha that looks so weird, thanks
( Read more... )
Brando was good with masks. Every Snape was good with masks, but Brando felt he was better at it than the rest. Of course he did. He was Brando Lestrange-Savage; him being better at something wasn't surprising. But masks really were his specialty, he thought. The proof of it was that, no matter how he was feeling, he didn't let anyone see it. He'd make the same cracks at the stupidity of others, he would continue with his studies as if nothing had happened, and he kept acting as if Leo wasn't gone.
Coping mechanism? Probably. But he would be damned before he would let others see how everything was affecting him. How crushed he still felt. How edgy he felt because of the anger he felt towards Sinclair and Leo.
When the fight broke out, Brando tried his best to help his dad contain the fight. He knew he didn't have to interfere for Alya and Raegan - they were strong enough to take care of themselves and he wasn't some bloody lion.
That was, at least, until he caught sight of someone else who was about to jump into their argument. Some girl that was about to aid her friend when Alya went after the one that had started to insult her father, but at once he disarmed her. Then he shoved some boy next to him that was standing too close to him, just for the hell of it as he felt the mask slipping.
Unfortunately for another boy, though, he suddenly he saw him. An eagle that was about to 'avenge' the twins. Heh, fuck that. He was good with masks, but considering the blood that ran through his veins and how well they dealt with their anger...
His eyes flashed as he broke the distance between them and punched him back. Do it the muggle way before using charms and all that rubbish, so he took his wand and sent him flying back until he slammed him against a wall as hard as he could. He didn't care that the boy's robes were blue; right now he was seeing red from how enraged he felt. He was in the right frame of mind that he looked just about ready to use his grandfather's signature spell.
Stinging charms, boils, simple hexes? Please. If you wanted to hurt someone you do it right. And, without caring that he was an eagle and he should probably know better, he aimed the wand at the boy that he had just sent flying back.
No way, kiddo. That spell is not flying around in Daddy's class. Bastian cast a silencing charm on his youngest before he could finish that spell. Merlin, Sebastian hated that spell. He hated that it was a family spell too. He really hated that his uncle used it on him years ago. The fact this his son just about used it on another student in Bastian's class? Oh yeah, he was pissed.
"That is enough." Uhoh someone was using his auror tone. He was pleased to see it still had the effect that he liked it to have.
"Right so let's assess things shall we?" He pulled the idiot that Alya had pinned away from her. "Miss Malfoy, do you mind not getting blood on my desk? I hate domestic cleaning spells."
He began pointing at the snakes on the floor ducking out of the way of the chaos. "Okay so ten points to each of you for getting out of the way. That is 60 points to Slytherin. You're dismissed." He then counted the eagles that got out of the way. "Ten points to each of you so that is 50 points to Ravenclaw. You are dismissed."
Sebastian gazed around those that were left. "First things first, Brando, go to the headmaster's office and catch him up to speed on why I had to use a silencing charm on you. I'll join you both shortly." He pointed to the door and gave him a look that practically dared him to cross the line between Professor and Dad in class. Giving his kid the credit to know that getting out of the class was a good idea he turned his attention to those who remained.
"Right so let's play a game. You tell me why you took apart my class, and then I'll let you guess what your punishment is. Miss Malfoy, you can begin and please multi-task and get the blood off my desk, thank you."
Alya took her wand out of her pocket and quickly cleaned the desk and righted the chairs that were overturned. "I'm sorry Professor Savage. I started the fight. It was stupid of me. I overheard something they" She tossed a nasty look at the twins who were looking rough. "were saying and took offense."
"Alright, so what did they say?" He asked, as he watched the Eagle twins exchange looks. "Come on, fess up, I believe they frown upon forcibly taking memories for the pensieve."
"She's always hostile when it's close to the full moon," The boy eagle twin said as his sister snickered.
"Can't imagine why."
"I wouldn't finish that if I were you," Bastian warned as Raegan stepped forward. There was something about the way she walked that made him turn his attention straight to her. When she flipped her hair and smiled at him he folded his arms across his chest and waited.
"Professor, we'll repair your office. There is no reason for you to be upset. Perhaps you could go for a cuppa and leave the rest to us."
Whatever reaction she was expecting was not the laughter that came from Sebastian. "Did you just try and use the veela mojo on me? I'm an ex-auror, and a man. Men are not as easily influenced as teenage boys with hormones, but by all means continue to manipulate them as you see fit. Now, why did you blow the chair leg off his chair?"
"It was her?!" The twins said in unison as Raegan rolled her eyes.
"They said my uncle was fired because he was buying drugs off Leo Black. We took offense." She glared at the eagles. "You'd think eagles would know better than to believe or start stupid rumors that have no truth to them."
"And destroying the wand?"
"He was going to hex Malfoy in the back."
Bastian pinched the bridge of his nose and counted to ten. Ten times. Finally he gave up on fixing the headache. "Sixty points from Ravenclaw and detention for a week with Professor Longbottom for the next week. You three are dismissed."
He waited until he was alone with the girls before pointing at their chairs. "Sit. Now." Sitting on the edge of his desk he leveled his gaze at Alya. "I expected better from you, Miss Malfoy. You couldn't have waited until after my class and caught them in the hall?"
Damn. Alya was going to have to give Raegan props. Anyone willing to try and use their veela on Sebastian Savage had guts. She sat down and folded her arms over her chest.
"Sometimes immediate action is necessary Professor." Alya wasn't trying to be smart. Immediate action was necessary. The twins needed their asses kicked. "I'm not sorry for that, but I am sorry for disrupting class."
"You're both aware that it is likely that more rumors will surface about why Leo and Professor Montgomery made immediate and simultaneous exits, yes? And you're aware at some point the truth could possibly leak out, and that people will discuss it at length and offer their own opinions on it."
He cast a gaze from one girl to the other and took in their defiant stances. Neither were sorry. Of course they weren't. He was never sorry when he started a fight either.
"It's none of their business," Raegan spat out angrily. "They have no right to discuss things that are not their business."
"Yet they will because that is what teenagers do. No, correction, that is what people do. It is in everyone's best interest not to draw further attention to why Mr. Black and Mr. Montgomery are no longer at Hogwarts. I know that turning the other cheek is hard. I sympathize with the fact that the two of you are left here to deal with the fall out of something neither of you played a part of. That said, for Merlin's sake, live up to Salazar's rep and don't blatantly get your revenge where people and more importantly professors can see you. I expected better from the both of you. I expect better from this point on. Do not try this in front of me again."
Of course now he was left to figure out what was suitable punishment. He still had to deal with his son. Was drowning against Hogwarts rules? Could it be added in for special occasions?
"Sixty points from Slytherin and a week's detention with...well I can't send the entire lot of you to Longbottom. I'll wake up with one of my cars covered in manure." He tapped his foot as he contemplated his choices. He really didn't want to be the one to do their detentions with. He didn't live on campus after all. Though that may change thanks to Brando's stunt. "Right, one week with me. I hope the both of you like owls. You're going to be spending a lot of time with them for the next week. Detention begins tomorrow at 7pm. You're dismissed."

Almost as quickly as it had started--it was over.
