What’s in your journal: Tea, cricket, the increasingly parlous state of the C of E and the Conservative Party under that twat Cameron, economics, history, village life, rural affairs, more cricket, the English Choral Tradition, field sports, unconscious OE and Oxon references, news of my books as they come out, and lashings of Potterfic as a five-finger exercise (and one long Britpick).

Favourite HP character(s): Young Potter, certainly; his sprogs; Scorpius and his father; Sluggers; Aunt Andromeda; Cissy; Minerva; Lupin; Teddy; Hugo; Justin; Ernie; Luna; the adult Dudley; Arthur; and of course Oor Nev.
Interests/Hobbies outside of fandom: Shooting, angling, hunting, field sports generally, cricket, history, real ale, music, steam trains and heritage railways, Clumbers, rural pursuits, parish affairs, history, ancient buildings, wildlife, heraldry, and fit and likely lads.
Friending policy: Markedly open.

Familiar: Owl, toad or cat? Cat. Am not precisely a cat person, but with these choices, I prefer mammals.
