Favourite HP character(s):
HERMIONE GRANGER: She has a very dynamic personality. She is very bookish as well as studious. I love that her intellect is coupled with her assertiveness. I also admire her for her enthusiasm in her activism. Her coming up with the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare was one of the reasons why Goblet of Fire is my favorite because it's the same thing I would have done. Like I said, Hermione being such a strong female character helped shape who I am today.
LUNA LOVEGOOD: Also another strong female character. I love that she doesn't give a rat's ass about what anyone thinks. She does her thing and it doesn't hurt anybody. However, if someone hurts her friends, she is willing to do damage. I also think she is quite sagely, especially for her age.
NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM: I feel like he is one of the characters that has grown the most. He was timid and shy but then he grew to be this amazingly brave and aggressive young man.
Interests/Hobbies outside of fandom:
OFFLINE - I'm a full-time student trying to look for a job. I'm a Political Science major, minoring in English. I'm also an artist, pianist, flautist, singer, writer, and gamer as hobbies. I'm TV, movie, book, and music junkie as well XD
ONLINE - I make webcomics (I can't remember the link to my Smack Jeeves profile but it's on my LJ profile), read, blog, review a bunch of stuff, play games on Steam, MMORPG (Forsaken World; Jodis of "[US East] Eyrda PvP" server-add me if you play!), keep up with politics, learn things (language, playing instrument, cultures, etc), and social networking.
Friending policy: I talk politics pretty often and I rant about a lot of things. I generally add people whose philosophies align with my own (check the profile). I also comment when I can and when I have something to stay instead of a simple "yaaay" (although, if I'm in the mood, I'll do that too). In order to acquire access to enter the building, bigotry and/or ignorance must be left at the door. If none of this bothers you, then come aboard! I also have to note that I'm adding selectively so~ yeah ;D
Hogwarts house: I've been sorted into all the houses at different comms (two different ones at sorting-elite) and identify with each house but I probably identify best with Hufflepuff in a Leslie Knope way. However, I love my ravenclaw-house like no other and am warming up to the kitties at lions-heart.
Familiar: I really love animals so I'd probably get one of each~ haha XD
Favourite Hogwarts class: Most likely History of Magic, Charms, Transfiguration, Astronomy, Care of Magical Creatures, Art, and Music :D
Favourite pairing(s): (platonic or romantic) Alice/Dana (The L Word), Bonnie/Damon (The Vampire Diaries), Fran/Balthier (Final Fantasy XII), Katara/Zuko (Avatar: The Last Airbender), Leia/Han (Star Wars), Leslie/Ben (Parks and Recreation), Luna/Neville (Harry Potter), Phil/Lem (Better Off Ted), Priya/Victor (Dollhouse), Rogue/Gambit (X-Men) Troy/Abed (Community) - by the way, these are only a few ships. I don't remember all of them and I'm not super SQUEEEEEE about them but yawr~ those are pretty much my active ships.
What you do in fandom: Graphics, icons, occasional fics, art, comic strips, etc.
What you can offer to friends: I'm a good listener, great at empathizing, and I try to provide whatever comfort as needed. I also like to think I can be a good comic relief as well. I won't satiate anyone's need for attention though so if that's what you're looking for, I'm not the person to go to.
