A promised post...

I'm gonna try to include pictures on this, so here goes....

January Statistics for me.

In January I purchased:
  • 6 skeins of yarn - 3 clearanced Red Heart skeins in Dark Sage, 3 skeins purchased from new LYS
  • 11+ yards of fabric - Most of it yardage for projects
  • 5 pillow forms - Got them using 40% coupons
  • 8 spools of Gutermann thread - 40% off sale, picked up neutral colors
  • 3 organizers - 1 for spools of thread, 2 for fabric
In January I spent: $146.89 -- of that $50 was gift cards. I also made $40 on a commission. So, total out of pocket expenses is $56.89. Not bad. I was also very thrifty about remembering to use coupons or only buying stuff that was on sale.

In January I made: 10-11 completed items (depending how you count the project).
  • Mini Bears bag -- made with the leftover scraps from Xmas pillowcases (the fabric must have been 54" rather than 45")
  • Rainbow Round Ripple -- I've been wanting to do a round ripple for years. I chose Red Heart Brights for this. All found in my stash.
  • Tillyanne Bag -- My baby cousin had her 2nd birthday. I painted a canvas bag with her name on it. Big hit!
  • Starburst -- Even though I curse Ripple blankets usually, I couldn't resist a second shot at a round ripple. Again, all stash.
  • NAWWAL 1 -- LOTR quilt? Yes please. These patterns are offered up for FREE on www.fandominstitches.com.
  • Bears Pillowcases -- Here's the questionable one. I made 2 pillowcases, but they were for the same person. So, does that count as 1 or 2?
  • Pillowcase doll - Julie -- I made the pillowcase with fabric I had on hand. Ribbon and polyfil were both stash.
  • Decrease Blanket for Linus -- a medium sized blanket of decreasing stripes. All scrap yarn using my favorite stitch.
  • Pillowcase doll - Margie -- Another pillowcase I made into a doll for my beloved cauldroncakebkr for her birthday.
  • NAWWAL 2 -- Bree. This block has an option of adding an appliqued froth. I don't hand sew well, so for now, it's not there. Fabric all stash.
So, productive month? I try to think so. This new month is starting a bit slower, but it's partially due to me. My neck and shoulder were tight the other night as happens when I overtax myself...so I've been taking it easier than I would like. I'm currently caught up on January NAWWAL pieces, having finished the 3rd block today. And I have this weekend off, so I can do that then.
