Now for some kinda begging... Okay, I know I have a number of Twilight fans on my friends list. And even if you aren't, I'm sure you know someone who IS. Here's the thing, these blankets are being auctioned off at the site linked above. The starting bid is JUST $30!!!! Granted, it's like eBay, you gotta keep an eye on it, or you might lose it! But here's a few good things.
--The money raise goes to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. This group is working to end childhood cancer. This is a good cause.
--The starting bids are CHEAP!!! I'm hoping this will entice bidders on these one of a kind pieces!
--The blankets are finished!!! So, once the auction is over and the winning bidder confirms their donation, I will be sending the piece(s) out!
This is the 2nd part of begging. I thought about putting something up on facebook where I have many Twilight fans, and maybe word could spread (as I'm pretty invisible in the fandom, despite my efforts). But I realized I can't. Not because I'm shy or modest, but because I'm a bit stupid. You see, if I put up links to these in my facebook, they direct to auctions by hp5freak....not Amber... And because I'm hp5freak just about everywhere, that gives certain members on facebook the means to search me out on the net....you know....like on Twitter....or LJ...or one of the many other places I belong. The stuff that could get me into potential trouble is hidden, but all the same, I don't want to risk it. However, if you want to pimp it, that would be awesome!!!!
