3 of 5 to post...

Okay, I was initially going to wait until I had pics of all of the work I've finished in the last week or so...but I just posted some to Twitter, so I'mma post it here too....

Let's do a LSS (long story short):

I told my cousin, H, that I would make him a blanket as a gift when he got married back in May. (I'll put a photo of that up next time...) He doesn't know I've finished it....if he even remembers what I said....  so, I thought I would give it to him and his wife for Xmas...

However, his sister, my cousin A, is one of my best family....and I've never made her a blanket....and she's had a rough year of it....so I made her one too...(picture of that next time too)...

Then, as I was working on A's and getting some ideas, I came up with something for my aunt/godmother...who is my cousins' mother...

BUT, I can't give a blanket to my aunt....and not give one to my uncle....

And it doesn't stop there...because my uncle's mother (no relation to me) usually comes to visit at Xmas time, and will likely be there Xmas eve when we plan to spend time with my aunt and family (as is tradition)....so I thought it would be mean to have presents for everyone BUT her...so I made her one too...

*falls down in SHEER exhaustion*

So, back to my aunt's blanket.  My aunt P is SUCH a sweetheart!  And EVERY YEAR she makes me a batch of PB cookies ...JUST. FOR. ME! MINE!  I had a few skiens of some pastels laying around...and I thought I would whip up a 4 strand lap blanket for her with them.  When I finished with the first skein, I felt it wasn't big enough...so I doubled it up.  I used Light Coral, Light Raspberry, Lavender, and Melonberry (all Red Heart brand) and a P hook.

For my uncle, I used the same MO on his...4 strands, P hook...but this time, I used 2 strands of Royal, 1 of Hot Red, 1 of White (again all Red Heart)...because my uncle is a Cubs Fan...

Now, for my uncle's mother, I didn't want to have to purchase any extra yarn. So I checked my stash and found enough yarn in 4 colors I felt would go well together.  I used Med Thyme (leftover from Cousin H's blanket), Windsor Blue (leftover from Cousin A's blanket), Burgundy and Black (colors that are hard to match despite the "no dye lot" claim)....

I went for the "artsy" look on these pics because it's not like there's a design to see....
