I still have SO many pics and stuff to post...but I haven't the time right now as I'm supposed to be cleaning my room...
But I thought I would post a few things here...
Okay, so I mentioned yesterday that I ended up with 4 baskets from all the awesome things I received for my United Way Basket auction. My original intention was to do just 1 basket, but came to the conclusion this week that such a huge basket wouldn't get NEARLY the bid it deserved...so after carefully cataloging everything so I can send out proper thank yous, I FINALLY figured out a good way to divide everything.
First --From a Land Down Under.
This basket contains a bevy of stuff sent to me from Australia. I just couldn't justify breaking this up... And for the Tim Tams ALONE that basket should do well...
Second -- A Taste of Friendship.
This basket contains all the edible goodies that so many sent along.
Third --Somewhere I Have Never Traveled...
This one holds all the wonderful postcards and travel goodies that make me wish I could come visit.
Fourth -- Oh the Places You SHOULD Go...
This final basket holds all the trinket stuffs that were sent along. Keychains, Tshirts, toys, beads...FUN STUFF.
SERIOUSLY guys, when I started thinking about this, I never DREAMED that it would be THIS epic!!! TRULY. I will be sending out proper thank yous soon. ;)
Also, for a bit of a crochet update:
One of my mom's friends asked me to make a poncho for her grand-daughter. I should point out now that I SUCK at making clothes...but I gave it a go...
And ended up with this:
*headdesk* Seriously...it fit ME! *headdesks again*
So, with some reworking, I ended up with ....
And last but not least....
alysonlace gave me a TRUE funny yesterday. You see, I don't really care for tomatoes. I mean, I eat stuff made from tomatoes...ketchup, spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce...but I don't like the texture of tomatoes...cooked or raw...
Well, with everyone bringing in home-grown tomatoes lately, those who don't grow them take them home...including alysonlace. Last night she was teasing me about my aversion to tomatoes and asked me what I would do if Edward Cullen offered me a tomato, I turned to look at her and she did THIS:
I laughed for a long time after...
