doing the decoupage...

I know someone asked me about this...so I thought I would post a bit of a tutorial for those interested...

Creating a Sin Tin.  :D

Supplies:

Decoupage medium (I use mod podge with matte finish)
Foam brush
Empty and clean altoids tin
picture of choice (preferably on regular paper, just slightly bigger than the lid of the tin)

1. Paint a thin, even coat of glue on the lid and sides of the tin and on the back of the picture.

2.  Carefully place picture on the lid, leaving room on the edges to fold down.

3. Smooth the picture to the lid and sides with even pressure and, if necessary, more of the glue.

4.  Paint a top coat of the glue over the picture and around the edges, pressing firmly where the edges may come up.

5.  Carefully trim any extra overhang with exact-o knife.

6.  Let dry for a few hours.
