“Expecto patronum!” Harry cried, trying his best not to think about Sirius. No memories of his godfather were happy memories. Not anymore.
A thin, silver wisp erupted from Harry’s wand. The on-lookers cooed in appreciation.
“That’s amazing!” one of them gasped. “But - I thought your Patronus had a different form. Wasn’t it a stag?”
“It was,” Harry said faintly.
He didn’t know what to make of this new Patronus he had produced. The big Grim-line dog was silver instead of black, but the way it cocked its head to the side and seemed to smile at Harry was unmistakable
“Sirius…”
