Title: Destruction
House: Ravenclaw
Words: 100
Characters/Pairings: Padma/Pansy, Parvati
Author's Note: For challenge #45, The Moral of the Story. "We often give our enemies the means for our own destruction."
Femslash, would be rated PG-13 or R. Uncut version here.

It was good for the twins to be separate, Padma decided. After all, she cared about old books and forgotten knowledge. Parvati cared about nail varnish and fluffy sweaters.

Pansy was the only person who understood. Pansy listened when she talked about books she remembered. Pansy's tongue between Padma's legs reminded her of an elusive Emily Dickinson phrase, "a liquor never brewed."

It was the first thing Pansy took when she pointed her wand at Padma.

Afterward, Parvati came every day and read to her: rhymes and stories that Parvati remembered from childhood. Padma remembered nothing, and sometimes she screamed.

Title: Believing
House: Ravenclaw
Words: 100
Characters/Pairings: James/Lily, Sirius/Remus, Peter
Author's Note: For challenge #45, The Moral of the Story. "United we stand, divided we fall."

He had said they could do anything, the four of them. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, Prongs: back at Hogwarts, heads pressed together in the common room, running under the streaks of a silver moon.

Even at their Leaving, he was sure nothing would change. Even when James married, and Lily's stomach started to swell; even when Peter disappeared for months; even when Sirius moved out. Even then, lying alone in their bed, he still believed.

He had said the four of them could do anything, until he heard a whisper that Sirius had betrayed James and Lily, and he believed it.
