Hagrid couldn’t understand why everyone was intimidated by Fang. Next to Dumbledore, he was his best mate. Sure, he was of astounding size for his own kind. But then again, as Hagrid thought, so was he. He chuckled at himself, petting Fang lovingly.
Hagrid always made sure that he took the time and effort to understand all creatures around him, no matter the size or look. Just like his father taught him to. His father used to say, ‘The bigger you are, the bigger the heart!’
Hagrid looked outside his window, crowned with ice. He hoped his father was proud.
