Harry's stomach growled furiously. He fried the Dursley's breakfast, watched Vernon read the paper. Gnawing the inside of his lower lip, he set the plate of food in front of his uncle, eying the paper with interest. The moment Vernon wasn't looking, Harry snatched the Funnies section, cramming it into the large pockets of Dudley's old pants.
Holed away in his closet, Harry took out the comics and read them, folding, tearing the borders precisely, taping them onto the wall using scotch tape he'd stolen, making his own wallpaper.
When Petunia discovered them, she stripped the walls of anything interesting.
