Author's Notes: omg my first time participating. . . and apparently the only one participating for this prompt.
He claimed the tree as his, like a divorced couple splitting items once shared. It was his, their spot at the tree. When sitting at it, he'd catch her staring. He could never really tell- the distance was too far- but he liked to hope her eyebrows were slanted in a way that showed she missed the time they spent together. There were a lot of memories at that tree.
Once he saw her with the audacity to be sitting at his spot. He wanted to be angry, but found that he couldn't; it showed that she still cared too.
