Girls fawned over him. Teachers overlooked his failings. (Snape didn't count.)
September 2nd was always hardest because all the first years spent breakfast gawping.
Fortunately, the morning influx of owls distracted everyone. Errol dropped a package on Ron's plate.
Harry received no mail.
Of course, all the gossips seized on that.
Ron dug an elbow into Harry's side.
"Ow! What?"
"Mum sent some of this for you, too," Ron said.
Harry grinned. "Thanks."
There were definite advantages to being a Weasley.
