Author's Notes: I haven't read Half-Blood Prince in a while, so I went off of memory. In my mind, I had this taking place after Dumbledore's funeral when Harry decides he's leaving.

Ginny pulled out of Harry's embrace. Her hands curled into fists and she beat on his chest.
"Don't do this to me! I won't let you." To her dismay, tears began to roll down her face, and she allowed Harry to pull her back into his arms.
His breathing was ragged. "I'm doing this for you, Gin." He hushed her protests. "I love you, Ginny. Merlin, I love you so much." He forced her to look at him. "I'm doing this because I love you."
"You can't protect me forever, Harry," she whispered, before shaking her head and walking away.
