Every time he taught, Firenze was a little afraid. To him, the secrets laid before the children were so obvious he was amazed they could miss them.
And yet they laboured over their charts in oblivion. Carefully they consulted their books to predict an unusually cold winter, or that people born in March were likely to lose something, all the while missing the truth written across their scrolls.
The stars knew. Evil was approaching, and not even the castle would protect them.
Firenze read the future concealed within their homework, and sadly ticked their misinterpretations.
They would learn soon enough.
