He was stooped and haggard, every inch of him so frayed, so threadbare. He was all drab and bore, that’s what he was, and from the very first glance, she already knew she wasn’t going to like him one bit.
“Hello. Remus Lupin-It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
He held out his hand. After a small hesitation, she took it. His skin was surprisingly warm, like the lingering heat left on a hearth long after the fire has turned to coals. His broad palm enveloped hers with a tenderness she had not expected.
Tonks smiled. She liked his hand.
