The pop signaled the arrival of someone. Bloody hell, it sounded like an explosion to his addled mind. Who apparates to anyone’s apartment at seven in the morning, anyway?
“Harry James Evans Potter! What in the world were you thinking?”
“Hermione! My darling-”
*Slap*
Merlin, he had been hit with what seemed like a sledgehammer.
“Stop it, ‘Mione. Can’t you see I’m nursing this wicked hangover?”
“Oh, yes, golden boy! Partying like there’s no tomorrow! I saw you splashed on the front page, you moron!”
“Skeeter was in the party…”
“I was talking about the Daily Star! Muggle tabloid!”

She was nestled in his arms, snuggling within the voluminous folds of his cloak for warmth. He felt her inhale deeply and then place an arm around his waist. Her other hand was tracing patterns across his chest, her touch as light as a feather. Though it was ticklish, he never told her to stop; he was too engrossed by the midnight sky.
The stars were pale tonight, but the moon remained bright.
Then one star winked at him, and he sucked in his breath.
“The Evening Star?” she asked gently.
“Not the Dog Star, thank Merlin” he replied, smirking.

Once he had heard of the final folly of that blasted traitor, he swore he would hunt the bastard down, even if he died doing so.
Nobody wanted to listen to him, when he told them he was still suspicious of the turncoat.
Now, the fugitive was running in the darkness. He swore to avenge Dumbledore, to set things to right, for the sake of the Order.
The stars shall be his guide, shining their cool light upon the lingering darkness.
The stars shall bear witness to his promise, that he will catch the traitor and bring him to Azkaban.
