Lucius Malfoy was not whining. Malfoys never whined. He was standing in his bedroom doorway, attempting to have an adult conversation with his stubborn and infuriating wife.
Said wife turned slowly from where she stood next to the high, arced western windows. Her eyes could have chipped granite, and the words out of her mouth were hardly any softer.
“Out of the question. Phineus Greengrass may be an old friend and a supporter of the Dark Lord, but I am not attending a party in that - cake he calls a mansion. It’s a crime against taste and common sense.”
