Title: Double Act
House: Hufflepuff
Words: 100
Characters: Neville, Fred and George
The Weasley twins were popular. Neville recognised that the first instant he saw them, seeing in their jaunty walk the adolescent confidence of boys who know they are well-liked amongst their friends (and they had many friends) and feared by their enemies.
George and Fred. Gred and Forge. What a double act! Or so the indulgent smiles of adults and peers proclaimed. Years later, Neville could remember them proffering a plate of biscuits at Christmas time. How he had looked into their blue eyes and seen through the trick, but taken one anyway, wanting to be part of the performance.
