In an obscure corner of the library, in a still more obscure cabinet, the old programmes are packed away. Here, the collected mementoes of a hundred and fifty years of school productions are left, discarded, decayed and covered in many years worth of dust. The faded outer jackets, printed cheaply in dull browns and greens, disclose nothing of their contents - a phantasmagoria of images, photographs in black and white or colour, every one preserving the face of some Hogwarts student, rendered near-unrecognisable in their make-up, wig and costume.
