Author's Notes: Both of these have the same first lines, and follow along basically on the same storyline. Set future, post-war. The uncut, not too much different, is under the cut.

The last word I spoke to you was sectumsempra, and it has taken me five years to be ready to face you again. I doubt myself, for thinking you evil, because even though you didn’t see how I knelt by your side, willing your blood to stop leaving your veins, you seem to be willing to forgive me.
Forgiveness, Draco, is the one thing I never expected, the one thing I thought you incapable of. I was too proud to admit my mistake, even after I saw that you couldn’t commit murder.
I never even found that weakness in myself.
