More disbelieving stares all around. From her father, by the fireplace with a tightly held shut jaw and a pale face. From her mother, kneeling by her feet with a face full of tears and her shoulders heaving from repressed sobs.
"Could you all be more idiotic? I was placed into Slytherin, after all. How else did you think this would turn out?" And only then did she say the incantation, cold blue eyes witness to their political assassination.
