Title: It’s Always the Quiet Ones
House: Gryffindor
Rating: PG
Characters: Andromeda
Challenge: Born to be Bad
Word Count: 100
A/N: I really relate to Andromeda (middle sibling sympathy - and we both are surrounded by girls). I think this really needs to be expanded (right, with my copious amounts of time). Maybe I will.
Andromeda was always the good child. She did what she was told, unlike Bellatrix who threw destructive tantrums in defiance, and she did her chores happily, unlike Narcissa, “That’s the house elves’ job! Why do I have to do it, Mummy?”
The Sorting Hat’s screw up notwithstanding, Andromeda was an exemplary student at Hogwarts, unlike Bella who talked during class or Narcissa who could hardly be bothered to study when there was a mirror handy.
Much to the family’s shock, when Andromeda left the Black house after her mother kicked her out; she took particular delight in smashing the letterbox.
Title: Consolation
House: Gryffindor
Rating: PG
Characters: Peter
Challenge: Born to be Bad
Word Count: 100
A/N: It’s hard to just stumble into being a slimy, evil git. I can’t decide if this is really OOC for him, either.
They took me in, you know. They laughed at my jokes, even the ones that were deliberately pathetic. They defended me from the Slytherins, helped me with homework, and called me their friend. They let me in on their darkest secrets.
And how did I repay their trust? How did I repay their loyalty? By selling them out to the Dark Lord at the earliest opportunity and cheaply, at that.
Do I feel bad about it?
Not particularly.
I console myself with the knowledge that I have done something no other wizard has done. Ever.
I fooled the Sorting Hat.
