A/N: I always feel so bad for Theodore…
Theodore never really thought about why he was good at building things. He never wanted to remember all the times he found his father passed out on the floor on Christmas morning; surrounded by instructions, parts, and bottles. He never remembered taking the tools and completing the project before his father woke up.
Mostly, when he bothered, he remembered the smell, the yeast-laden air tickling his nose and throat and the heavy hand of his father reminding him to be quiet.
As he watched Pansy swell with their unborn child, Theodore vowed, once again, never to be like his father.

When the plan was proposed, no one expected Bellatrix to take the lead on it. After all, destruction was more her thing, not building. They never expected to find out that Bella not only knew how to use a hammer, but that she knew how to use it in the prescribed manner and not just to cosh people on the head.
Bella ignored all of them and lovingly caressed the shackles she was setting into the wall. Let them think all she knew the value of was death and destruction…
She also knew the value of a completely soundproof room.
