Character/Pairing: Random Underling

Renovations had to be done from time to time. It was common knowledge that the Ministry had to lead the way and as currently their security consisted of purchases from Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes … it clearly required the total overhaul.
Nice for those at the top, who took the opportunity to utilize their summer homes in the Caribbean. But for those working at the level of ‘Random Underling’ dealing with the crowded conditions in the makeshift offices was hell.
With all the commotion how was one supposed to confirm the predictions of a cauldron bottom report filed several years ago?

AN: Love them, or not, they are talented.
Horrified the man chanced a glance at his surroundings. Blanching he realized that it was worse than he had feared. And not likely to get any better.
He couldn’t even say that there was no warning.
Should he get to say anything to anyone again it would probably be gibberish. The flames tickling the man’s feet and the sights scorching both his eyes and his minds eye would have been enough, his last sane thought. The would-be burglar ought to have known what he was in for.
Of course the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes owners would assemble their buildings security charms.

Character/Pairing: Mentions Voldermort, Harry
Challenge: Under Construction
St. Mungos had been destroyed. The reconstruction was forthcoming they were told. Just let them handle the more pressing matters. Healers took in patients.
But the patients from the rooms with spells, that assisted the Healers in controlling them, soon overtook their caregivers.
Not all in St Mungos were ill.
Some had abilities of an unforgiving nature. These Voldermort recruited. They joined. And brought him down. Spectacularly.
The Order led by the Boy-Who-Grew-Up-In-A-Closet believed this to mean that they were 'of the light'. But for these, forming an alliance was not vanquishing a common enemy.
