Bella had been pacing the kitchen for hours. When Rodolphus finally came in, she turned to him and demanded to know what they’d found.
He sighed. “Not a thing. Either they’re made of tougher stuff than expected, or He’s gone for good.”
“No.” Bella took out her wand. “Let me at them, ‘Dolph. You know I can get anything I want from them.”
Rodolphus sighed, knowing there was no arguing with her now. “All right. But no fancy stuff. Just do what needs to be done.
She smiled. “Of course, ‘Dolph. For you, and for the memory of Our Lord.”
