Bellatrix could smell the sea from beyond the rise of the hills. She felt the wind as it swirled about her. For the first time in years she felt the sun’s warmth on her face. She was free.
She would join the others and reunite with her husband soon enough. For now the peace of being truly unfettered was something to be savored and enjoyed. To be able to see across limitless vistas without walls renewed her strength and resolve.
As she crossed the crest of the hill and walked into the sea, the resurrection in her was complete.
