Remus loves to travel on Muggle trains, summer holidays means he can ride the tracks for hours, go wherever he wants, as long as he has enough money in his pocket to get home again. The countryside rushes by, stopping at unknown places and he loves the feeling of being… directionless.
He jumps on any train he sees, not bothering to check its destination. And he loves the way that no one speaks to each other here and no one meets his gaze. He can sit and read a book, forget his scars and pretend he knows where he’s going.
