He always felt a pang of joy whenever his job sent him into Nocturne Alley. It made him guilty, the way he enjoyed going to a place his employer hated. What he searched for couldn’t be found in Diagon Alley. Most wizards considered giants Dark Creatures, and kept their magical artifacts and sculptures out of honest, law abiding businesses.
“’ow much fer this one?” Rubeus Hagrid asked Borgin gruffly, holding the mask up to the light. The dark, angry hissing coming from it sounded like falling rocks, and Hagrid found himself homesick for mountains and valleys he had never seen.
