Bellatrix Black laughed as she held her wand steady and pointed at the writhing Muggle girl in front of her.
The girl's arms twisted in unnatural angels, and her lips opened in soundless screams. Her dull, hay-colored hair flopped wildly as she convulsed.
Bellatrix lazily moved her wand away. The sound of the curse's tension remained in her ears. Her eyes narrowed. Such a disgusting thing, she thought. Muggle, plain.
The girl's blue eyes were clouded and wide, but Bellatrix raised her wand again before the pleas began. "Avada Kedavra," she hissed. A wave of pleasure washed over her.

"Moony! Prongs! Wormtail! I figured it out!" Sirius bounded up the stairs to the boys' room, taking two at a time. He waved a piece of parchment. "I did it!"
"The map?" James asked eagerly.
"What map?" Remus asked, looking up from his book.
"Our map," Sirius said. He pointed at the small footprints labeled as each of the four of them. "I need everyone's help to finish. It'll be the whole castle." Sirius grinned proudly.
"Wicked," James breathed.
Remus blinked. "Can't we get in trouble with it? We can't do this."
"We're marauders," James said. "We can do anything."
