A/N: It's so fun thinking of how AB and TT must have gotten together. I have no idea if a marriage bond has any kind of protective qualities in the Potterverse; probably not, but heck, it’s just fanfic.
Andromeda looked down at the boy in the hospital bed. Bruises healed, cuts closed, broken bones mended. She hissed out a breath and took his hand. “Marry me.”
Ted laughed, then winced and rubbed his still-sore ribs with his free hand. “Is this some wizarding thing I don’t know about? Marriage as a cure-all?”
“Listen, if we’re married, you’ll be bound to me and you’ll have some protection against them.”
“No.”
Andromeda swore.
“I won’t marry you for protection.” He smiled. “But I’ll be more careful, now that I know you care, darling.”
“Dammit, Ted, I’m serious!”
“So am I.”
