Harry read through the notes again. Timing was critical. He adjusted the object's position, squinted at the moon to be certain of its position, glanced at his watch for the countdown. Three... two... one....
"Deflagro!"
A bright red light erupted from his wand and enveloped the object on the table. Harry was blown backward by the sheer force, and landed on his back several feet away. When he got his breath back, he stared at the place the Horcrux had been. The aura of evil that had surrounded the object was gone. Once again, the cup was only a cup.
