Mom, dad...
Thank you for raising me with all your love.
For believing in me, for accepting me as a witch...
Thank you for trusting me.
It's hard to say this, but... I feel that I'll wake up and this will have been a dream.
And I want to say it at least...
I love you....
Goodbye.
Hermione buried her face in her arms and cried until there were no more tears left.
Her parents were holding hands, even in their last moments together.
The hospital halls outside the room were busy.
No one heard their last breath fleet away.

"Hey."
"What now?"
"Um, I... I wanted to ask you about..."
"My scar? AGAIN?"
"It is fascinating."
Draco rolled his eyes in disgust. "Go ask your sister."
"She said she won't tell me unless you want her to."
"She has a point."
The spike-haired boy didn't answer for a while.
"Why did you try to kill yourself?"
Draco was lying on his bed, flipping through a book.
"Long story," he said indifferently.
Silence again.
"Hey."
"What now?"
"Will you be my brother?"
"Huh?"
"It's just... I've always wanted one."
Draco snorted.
"Get out of here."
The boy left.
"...filthy Muggle."

"So, what do we do now?" said Harry with a shrug, looking into the distance.
The skies were gray and the air smelled of wet firewood.
"We stick together. That's what friends are for."
"Wow Ronald, that was deep."
"I was being supportive!"
"Supportive won't help us get anywhere," said Hermione approaching a road sign just a few yards away.
"Pick one. Fretmille or Bloodgash?"
"Bloodgash?" said Ron appalled, and approached the sign to see for himself.
"That's what it says. See?"
"Yeah. Harry, which sounds less scary? Pick Fretmille, pick Fretmille..."
Harry glanced down the road.
"Bloodgash."
Ron whimpered.
