She closed the door, hiding her blush from the rest of the dorm. Striding anxiously across the dark and silent common room, Hermione sunk herself into the nearest velvet armchair. Her Favourite.
She let her surroundings wash over her. Soft patters from the rain outside, the undying warmth emanating from the fireplace opposite, and the subdued giggles from the room she had just left.
She examined the parcel which had arrived only moments before.
'For Whom I Treasure. Victor'
Her heart leapt, breath becoming faster.
Hermione had been waiting silently for this moment, a precious gift from her secret love.
