Title: Consolation
House: Gryffindor
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Harry, Dumbledore
Challenge: Purity
Rating: G
Author's Notes: This takes place at the beginning of Harry's sixth year. I wrote this after a math test and I'm REALLY stressed with finals and projects, so this is probably not my greatest work.

“Hello, sir.” Harry mumbled as he shuffled past Dumbledore.

“Ah, Harry, may I have a word?”

They walked into an empty classroom before speaking again.

“Harry, is everything alright?”

Harry wanted to confide in Dumbledore, really he did, but he just couldn’t. What was he supposed to say? “No, sir, my best friend hates me.” or “No, sir, my heart has been filled with anguish since Sirius died." He couldn’t reduce himself to a blubbering idiot in front of his idol.

Harry looked into Dumbledore’s pure, blue eyes and knew he would never tell a soul.

“No, sir, it’s not…”
